Christine Musisi
Dean of Studies

Christine Musisi

Christine is the JBS Uganda Dean of Studies. She is a globally recognized strategic leader with over 30 years of experience in international development, including 19 years in senior UN management. She has served at the Assistant Secretary General level as UNDP Resident Representative, UN Habitat Director, and UN Women Regional Director, leading economic empowerment initiatives across 22 countries. She holds an M.A. in Gender Analysis in Development and a B.A. in Business Administration and Management. As Founder and Executive Director of Inuka Ongoza Africa, and a certified John Maxwell Coach, she equips ethical African leaders to transform public, private, and grassroots spheres. Christine is deeply passionate about mentoring youth and professionals, offering strategic coaching to help entrepreneurs build resilient, scalable businesses. Her work reflects a commitment to values-based leadership, faith-driven purpose, and inclusive transformation across Africa.

Anthony Ochieng
Deputy Dean of Studies

Anthony Ochieng

Anthony is the JBS Uganda Deputy Dean of Studies. He is a dynamic business development specialist and corporate trainer with over 15 years of experience coaching teams for peak performance. As Senior Manager of Business Development & Marketing at FRIENDS Consult Limited, he has led large-scale Training Needs Assessments and Work Readiness Programs for organizations such as PSFU, Enabel, and aBi Finance. He holds an MBA from UMI, a Bachelor of Education in Guidance and Counselling, and is a certified entrepreneurship trainer through Work for Life in Austin, Texas. A published author, Anthony is dedicated to leadership development, youth empowerment, and maximizing human potential. His highly interactive facilitation background as well as psychological guidance and counselling, enables him to mentor entrepreneurs in action planning, problem-solving, and milestone management.

Ann Marie Mwaka Sabano

Ann Marie Mwaka Sabano is a seasoned impact finance leader with over 15 years of experience driving inclusive investment across Uganda's financial sector. As Head of Investments at a Bi Finance Ltd, she leads strategic partnerships and innovative financing solutions that empower agribusinesses, women, youth, and green enterprises. She has mentored professionals, strengthened lending systems, and guided SMEs toward sustainable growth. With expertise in banking, credit risk management, and governance, she blends technical excellence with value-driven leadership. Her academic background, including an MBA and certification in ESG & Impact Financing, underscores her commitment to ethical stewardship and inclusive economic transformation.

Dr. Anne Jagwe Bakyaita

Dr. Anne Jagwe Bakyaita

Anne Jagwe Bakyaita is an Honorary Doctorate and a UN Global Woman of Distinction award recipient. Wife to Dr. Nathan Bakyaita, the WHO Representative in the Gambia, for the last 34 years, mother of 3 young adults and with a daughter in love. First degree in Agriculture with an Executive MBA, certified Neuro-Linguistic Practitioner (NLP) Accredited to NLP Certifications Global Standards and Clarity4D U.K. & Life coach accredited to COMENSA. Top lead career mentor with Project Life design (PLD) in collaboration with Youth in Animation and Post production initiative Nigeria, consultant, social enterprises trainer, and executive coach with Strathmore University Business School and Accountable Community Entrepreneurs Kenya mentor for the last 3 years. Mentored entrepreneurs with start-ups under Con Valores Incubadora, Valencia, Spain in 2025. Actively volunteering to support the African Women's Leadership and Mental Well-being Course leader. Member of Y-Save SACCO and of Pillar Investment Club as well as Board advisor. Life member of the Bible Society of Uganda and member of Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) International where I served voluntarily through the ranks up to Assistant Online trainer. Anne Bakyaita is a Rotarian.

Jimmy Emmanuel Kayondo

Jimmy is a seasoned corporate operations professional with expertise in audit, compliance, financial planning, and asset investment. He serves as a Team Leader and Tax Officer at the Uganda Revenue Authority and directs Callistus Investments Limited, a civil engineering logistics firm. With an MBA from the University of South Wales and a strong banking background from Barclays Bank, he blends technical and managerial depth. Trained in Biblical Studies and Ministry Leadership, Jimmy integrates marketplace ministry with corporate rigor, modeling integrity and ethical conduct. His expertise in internal controls, tax reconciliation, and financial auditing equips him to deliver practical instruction in accounting and risk mitigation. As a mentor, he supports entrepreneurs in building resilient, transparent business models. His dual impact reflects a commitment to values-based leadership and faith-driven transformation.

Doreen Lukandwa

Doreen Lukandwa

Doreen is a distinguished fintech executive with 15+ years of expertise in Digital Financial Services across 20+ markets. She is Head of Commercial Strategy at Onafriq, driving cross-border payments, commercial growth, and central bank license acquisitions. A founding member of MTN Mobile Money Uganda and Vice Chair of FITSPA, she has been named among the top 100 women in fintech globally. She holds advanced executive training from Harvard Business School and is pursuing an MBA at Edinburgh Business School. Passionate about technology-driven transformation, she empowers MSMEs, women, and youth through scalable business tools. As an instructor, she brings real-world insights into payments, regulation, and inclusive growth. As an advisor, she mentors entrepreneurs and MSMEs on capital readiness, financial inclusion, and last-mile delivery strategies.

Pastor Moses Nsubuga

Pastor Moses Nsubuga

Moses is an active businessman, educator, and real estate executive with a strong track record in organizational leadership and community mobilization. He serves as Executive Director of Sooka Properties Uganda Ltd, bringing operational expertise in institutional expansion and educational development. As Lead Pastor for Assemblies of God Uganda Marketplace and INOZA's Uganda Chapter Representative, he blends pastoral care with practical economic strategies to impact professionals across East and West Africa. His background as a lecturer at the African Theological Center Bible School enables him to deliver engaging instruction that integrates business execution with faith-based leadership. Moses also co-founded community rehabilitation programs, equipping him to provide counseling, prayer support, and mentorship. Through both corporate ventures and ministry, he empowers entrepreneurs to grow with integrity and purpose.

Dr. Tony Hasahya

Dr. Tony Hasahya

Dr. Tony is an eminent cardiologist, research scientist, and corporate executive with deep expertise in clinical medicine, advanced research design, and healthcare management. He is CEO of Polymaz International Ltd and has previously served as Resident Cardiologist and Director at Citizens Medical, as well as Co-Director of Biogenics Ltd. Holding an MBChB from Mbarara University and advanced degrees including a PhD from Tongji Medical College in China, his career features multiple international publications and medical discoveries presented before the American Heart Association. Alongside his professional achievements, Dr. Tony is the Discipleship and Leadership Ministry Overseer at House of Revival Church in Kampala and former Head Pastor of Wuhan International Christian Fellowship, embodying the marketplace ministry model. He leverages scientific rigor and leadership experience to teach systematic problem-solving, discipline, and financial literacy. As an advisor, he offers pastoral care, discipleship, and structured mentorship to entrepreneurs.

Richard is a seasoned corporate strategist and business development executive with over 15 years of commercial success. As General Manager of Business Development at Britam Insurance Uganda, he designed distribution and channel expansion models that boosted revenues dramatically and elevated the company from 17th to 3rd place in the market. He holds an MBA from Makerere University, a Bachelor's in Management Science (Marketing), and is a Certified Business Professional Master Executive. Richard's philosophy emphasizes strategic positioning, quality, and resilience, supported by his experience training financial advisors and conducting market research. He delivers expert instruction in strategy formulation, client acquisition, and market differentiation. Richard reflects a commitment to values-driven leadership and empowering entrepreneurs with precision and integrity.

Joy E. Mbabazi

Joy E. Mbabazi

Joy is a versatile legal professional and media strategist with a strong background in community development. She holds an LLB from the Islamic University in Uganda, a Diploma in Legal Practice, and certifications in AI Accountability, Corporate Governance, and Communications from the University of Leicester. Her career spans legal clerkships, property management, tech-hub community leadership at Hive Colab, and a prominent broadcast media role as an on-air host and TV anchor. As Co-Director of the Sparrows Nook Foundation, she has accelerated the growth and regulatory literacy of over 40 small businesses. Joy leads mentorship initiatives such as the Dear Young Lawyers Series, guiding entrepreneurs through business planning, asset management, and litigation risks. Her dual impact reflects a commitment to mindset change, legal literacy, and values-driven community empowerment.

Shafiq Kasumba is a versatile software engineer and digital product innovator with over eight years of experience in Android and iOS development. He has built and published multiple mobile applications integrating AI workflows, scalable backend systems, and monetization strategies. His expertise spans app deployment, Firebase integration, server configuration, and AI-enabled enterprise solutions, positioning him as a leader in digital product innovation. Grounded in creativity, resilience, and service, Shafiq equips Christian entrepreneurs with the digital tools and confidence to scale their ventures. He combines structured technical mentorship with pastoral care, helping entrepreneurs translate ideas into fundable, sustainable, technology-enabled businesses. Timothy Masembe

Timothy Masembe is a seasoned digital banking strategist with over 12 years of experience in international financial institutions. At the United Nations Federal Credit Union, he has led digital wallet innovation, ESG initiatives, and inclusive finance programs across Africa and beyond. He holds an EMBA and an LLM in International Trade Law, uniquely blending financial innovation with policy and sustainability frameworks. Guided by values of stewardship, innovation, and inclusivity, Timothy equips Christian entrepreneurs to harness digital finance for transformative impact, aligning with JBS's mission of integrity-driven leadership. As an instructor, he teaches practical fintech adoption, ESG integration, and inclusive growth models. As an advisor, he combines structured mentorship with pastoral guidance, helping entrepreneurs build scalable, fundable enterprises. Josephine N. Mukumbya

Josephine N. Mukumbya

Josephine N. Mukumbya is a senior Christian leader in governance and development finance with 28+ years across commercial banking, development finance, and agribusiness.

Former Executive at aBi Development and Agribusiness Development Centre, she led MSME acceleration, financing, risk management, and climate finance initiatives. An ICF Professional Certified Coach, she advances women's leadership in East Africa.

She brings expertise in corporate governance, fiduciary oversight, and sustainable enterprise development. As an instructor and coach, she equips entrepreneurs to build resilient, fundable, faith-driven ventures grounded in accountability and ethical leadership.
